Why We’ve Added a Temporary $2 Fuel SurchargeUpdated 37 minutes ago
You may notice a $2 fuel surcharge added to our Standard and Express Shipping charges from October 1.
We want to explain why this has been introduced and how long it will be in place.
What’s changed?
Our delivery partners, Australia Post and Aramex, have introduced a temporary fuel surcharge on shipping costs due to rising fuel prices.

This surcharge applies to businesses using their services during this period.
Like most Australian e-commerce businesses, we rely on Australia Post and Aramex to deliver your orders. When their costs increase, those increases flow through to us. Given the volume we ship and the size of our business, absorbing the full additional cost across all orders isn't something we're able to do.
Why we’ve added $2
We have absorbed increases in shipping costs in the past. However, this temporary surcharge has created a meaningful increase in delivery costs across all orders.
To help cover part of this increase, we have introduced a flat $2 increase to our Standard and Express Shipping rates.
We’ve chosen a flat $2 increase to keep things simple and consistent, rather than adjusting shipping costs based on location or order size. We are still absorbing a portion of the increase ourselves.
Rather than quietly building the cost into our product prices or adding it as a separate handling fee, we’ve chosen to be transparent. The $2 increase has been added to all Standard and Express Shipping charges and is shown in the cart.
How long will this be in place?
This is a temporary measure.
As soon as Australia Post and Aramex remove their fuel surcharge, we will remove ours.
We’re monitoring this closely and will revert the shipping rates as soon as possible.
What about the Free Shipping Threshold?
As usual, orders over $199 will be eligible for Free Shipping, as long as they don't contain glassware.
We charge a shipping fee for glassware on all orders due to its weight and size.
