Where are your products made?
We design our products in Byron Bay, Australia. They're made for us by long-standing, trusted manufacturing partners in Australia and China. All of our Bars are made in Australia. Read more about our Makers.
Is silicone a plastic?
No. Silicone is a synthetic rubber, even though it shares some surface similarities with plastic. We use it because it's durable, non-stick, stain-resistant and hard-wearing. It also cools quickly and handles temperature extremes, and its long life reduces the need for single-use plastics.
Are your silicone products certified or platinum-cured?
Many of our silicone products and components are LFGB and FDA certified and comply with Australian Standard AS2070:1999. Each product's listing shows the certifications confirmed for that item. If you need one that isn't listed, contact us.
Platinum-cured silicone is a premium grade, valued for its durability, heat and wear resistance, and for holding fewer odours than other curing methods. Our Silicone Freezer Trays and Moulds and Reusable Stretch Lids are platinum-cured.
Are your products free from lead, BPA and other chemicals?
Yes. Our products are lead-free and contain no BPA, phthalates, cadmium, fillers, mercury, PVC, dioxin, GenX or PFAS chemicals. Our glass pantry containers are also free of D4 and D5, which are most commonly used in cosmetics.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Yes. Our products are cruelty-free and we don't test on animals.
Can I recycle my silicone products?
Yes. When reusing isn't an option, send them through our Silicone Take-Back Program, run with TerraCycle. We can only accept Seed & Sprout silicone, because we can't verify how other brands' silicone is made and the recycling facility may not be able to process it.
